Winner of ‘So You Think You’re Funny?’ at the Edinburgh Festival 2018!
Danny Garnell began a career as a professional wrestler at the age of 15, after beginning his training at the now legendary Hammerlock school of wrestling 9 months before. After 17 years of touring the UK, Europe and the US for various promotions, injuries forced Danny into walking away from the wrestling business as an in ring performer.
“I had always been a massive fan of stand up comedy, and after some time off from performing, I really missed it. On the advice of some friends who happen to be comedians, I decided to try stand up at an open mic night at a local club. Nothing could of prepared me for that buzz, and I have been hooked ever since”
Danny is now working on making comedy his full time job, and is performing in London and Kent regularly. He is still involved in the Wrestling business, working as a ring announcer, commentator and occasional coach for up and coming pro wrestlers.
