Lateef is an an extremely gifted entertainer, who made his show business debut as a witty 12 year old on ITV’s famous morning gameshow “Mousetrap”. After that experience on the big screen he has never looked back. Not many performers can boast of having exceptional skills in all the main areas of the performing arts, lateef has these multi-faceted skills in abundance!

As an Actor he has trained at the legendary Young Actors Theatre ( formerly Anna Scher Theatre) and has had a short spell at the newly established Identity School Of Acting at London’s Arcola Theatre, playing the part of jazz singer Lenny Venice to rave reviews in their cutting edge production “Singing me to sleep”

Prior to this he had completed both a Btec 1st and National Diploma In Performing Arts as well as going on to complete a BA Honours Degree in Media And Cultural Studies at North London’s Middlesex University. Lateef also has tremendous comedic talent and is one of the most unique and distinctive acts on the comedy circuit, and vastly gaining the reputation of becoming a force to to reckoned with, both on the Black, Mainstream, and International comedy circuits. In 2007 lateef played to sold out shows at the Oude Luxor Theatre in Rotterdam and the Tuschinski Theatre in Amsterdam when he toured Holland and has featured in many of the UK’s top comedy clubs and venues. In addition to this Lateef also recently made his Comedy debut in Sweden playing Stockholm’s famous Big Ben Comedy Club, and took New York by storm when he performed at the legendary Comedy Clubs The Comic Strip, Times Square Comedy Club, and The Comedy Celler in Greenwich Village.

His skillful blending of Stand-up and impressions has also been showcased on ITV’s Young, Gifted, and Broke, and also on national comedy search “take the mike”. As well as acting and comedy lateef has also trained as a TV presenter with the media group “So Fresh Productions”.

Always looking to explore his boundaries the past year has been an exceptional one for lateef as he was made one of the faces of the Channel 4 Slash Music promotion that’s generating heavy rotation on channel 4, E4, and Internet promotions, as well as featuring on their official website and on billboard posters across the UK, as well as one the chosen faces for popular Gardening product “Cuprinal” in a forthcoming advert due out later in the year. He also recently made his musical theatre debut in the popular West End smash hit “Dancing In The Streets” landing the starring role as the MC and swiftly went on to conquer their 2006 UK tour! singing famous Motown Hits Such as Jimmy Ruffin’s “What Becomes Of The Brokenhearted” Edwin Star’s “Sending Out An SOS” the Temptations hit “Just My Imagination” and Popular Motown hit “Shotgun”

The 2006 “Dancing In The Streets” tour witness lateef playing to thousands of fans in some of the most famous theatre and festival venues in the UK ranging from the Lyceum Theatre (Sheffield), St Georges Hall (Bradford), Southport Theatre (Mersey side), Opera House (Buxton), Grand Opera House (York), Hexagon Theatre (Reading), Congress Theatre (Eastbourne), Alban Arena (St Albans), Ipswich Regent (Ipswich), Swan Theatre High (Wycombe), Caird Hall (Dundee), Playhouse Theatre (Edinburgh), Music Hall (Aberdeen), King’s Theatre (Glasgow), City Hall (Wiltshire), Corn Exchange (Cambridge), Grimsby Auditorium (Grimsby), Corn Exchange (Norfolk), Derngate (Northampton), Theatre Royal (Nottingham), Civic Hall (Wolverhampton), The Hawth (Crawley), New Theatre (Oxford), Perdiswell Leisure Centre (worcester), Theatre Royal (Brighton), Cliffs Pavillion (Southend), and also to thousands more at the Wisley Music Festival, Rochester Castle, and at the famous Kew Gardens.

After playing the lead role in “Dancing In The Streets” Lateef was instantly cast in the gripping musical “The Billy Holiday Story” playing the part of musician ” Joe Guy” to great reviews alongside Rain Pryor ( Daughter of legendary Hollywood Actor and Comedian Richard Pryor) and UK Actor Louis Emerick known to millions as Mick Johnson in popular TV hit “Brookside” and seen in hit UK feature films “Layercake” and “The Fruit Machine”, in addition lateef has also landed roles on Nickelodeon TV’s hit show “Genie In The House” as well as landing yet another Musical Theatre role playing the part of “Jose” in the highly popular stage production of “The Harder They Come” that toured the UK 2010.

Lateef made his Hollywood feature film debut landing a small role in “The Darknight” sequel to 2005’s “Batman Returns” alongside Hollywood A-listers Christian Bale and Heath Ledger, and later this year has another two Feature Films Coming out in the form of “Woolwhich Boys” ( Straight From The Motherland Productions) and playing the Lead Role in the Musical Comedy Feature Film “Urban Rythum” ( Michael Ibiayo Productions).
